NEW CONTRIBUTION TO THE FIELD OF CAREER ASSESSMENT

With Professor Jim Bright, Robert Pryor wrote a chapter in the publication entitled, Career Assessment: Qualitative Approaches. In this chapter called “Chaotic Career Assessment” the authors demonstrate how the Chaos Theory of Careers can be used to provide a new practical as well as conceptual integration of qualitative and quantitative career assessment.

In particular the Congruence Interest Sort (available from the Congruence Catalogue, was used to demonstrate the range and flexibility of card sort approaches to career assessment and their potential for creative and holistic perspectives for understanding more
